Windows and Network Firewall Changes

Windows Firewall Exception

– TCP and UDP port 2701

– TCP and UDP port 2702

– TCP Port 135

– TCP Port 3389

– TCP Port 445

– TCP RPC Dynamic Ports

– To enable Remote Assistance to be initiated from Support PC, add both the custom program helpsvc.exe (Windows XP) and the custom port TCP 135 to the list of permitted programs and services in Windows Firewall on the client computer.

– Windows Firewall must be configured to permit Remote Assistance and Remote Desktop.

 Group Membership for Support Team

– Support Team must be member of Workstation Administration AD Group or equivalent*.
